Due to a recent thread i got too thinkin, how important are first impressions to you and why?

Very important to me. You learn alot in the first few mins.

I think they are important but i also am much more forgivable about impressions thru the site or texting because sometimes things just come out sounding wrong lol

For me not that important dan. I might be " slightly" impressed at first (by his/her looks, behavior, etc) but it will change when conversation started and time passes by. I will be impressed him/her more or not anymore.

To me first impressions mean alot....but with that said u do learn more and more as u go along, but if u have a good first impression of someone that usually lets u know if u like the person enough to learn more about them.

Thats so true brite. For me if its a really bad impression i am a little more watchful, but i try to always be open minded. And as kowboy said texting and online i dont go on first impressions but i watch to c if what they say lines up with there profile.

Yeah like earlier this chick messaged me her profile says she's in LA...then within 3 messages she wants me to fly her from africa yeah right lol

Lol yeah i had one in indiana pm me then we began to text she tells me she isnt cut out to b a house wife then goes on to tell me she doesnt/wont wrk. Then wants me to send her money when i didnt the text stopped thats one time i should have gone with my first impression.
