Monday, here in LA that's Lower Arkansas the temp got up 70 birds were singing & the wasp were stinging, sure sign that Spring has arrived right? But no, Monday night the temp dropped to below freezing Tuesday high was 55 today will be around 50. It's as if Spring took one look around & went back home.

On the farm today, we got all of the tractors in the fields for the first time this year. The tractor I drive never made it out of the shop yard before it broke down, had a fuel line coupler that began leaking fuel & boy was it hard to take off. And after lunch, the newest tractor blew an oil seal on one of the front tires, which of course had to be taken to the repair shop to be fixed. Also the flying service spread fertilizer on all of the wheat fields, which they really needed it too cause the wheat was beginning to turn brown. That's about all that I can think of that happened today.

May start to bed some rows for this year's corn crop today, I got one field ready yesterday & hopefully today I will have another one ready by Saturday. Update on the newest tractor: repair shop fixed the problem but when they were loading it on a truck trailer to bring it back they noticed it had another oil leak toward the rear of the tractor. I suppose the dealership is tired of fixing it for free by now but they claimed it was field ready but since we got it hasn't been in the field 5 hours as of yet.

I was only able to get 2 fields ready for this year's corn crop, the 3rd & 4th fields are too muddy to prepare so they will need sunshine & wind to dry out but the weather report is still calling for rain most of today, unlikely will get back to finish them anytime soon. The land leveling company brought a tractor & rig here yesterday, they're going to level one field that really needs it.
