@Andres: Went to try it out and am now not seeing an "edit" button on any of my threads OR posts. Thought u shud know
Oh, must be the new '15 minute rule" Seeing it on my new posts so plz disregard the above posts lol
@Andres well i was wondering why the "edit" button is gone on my post, i now see why. I have one lil comment tho and its not really a big deal, but im sure u have noticed a few ppl degrade sum of the others for misspelling words or leaving words out in a sentence, which i have done both of and have been called out so to speak so everyone would notice i spelled it wrong which can be bullying, i have made comments tht we r typing on cell phones & it is very common & easy to skip a letter or even a word....sooo is their any way to have a spell check or something? Or atleast have the degrading of others against the rules? Sum ppl i have met on here have real life disabilities and its horrible to think they cant help it but yet r being picked upon by these people for making a mistake. And in a post i left earlier today i left out a word cuz i was going so fast....we cant go back and fix those now? Jus wondering and asking for assistance
If the edit button no longer appears (it disappears 15 minutes after the post was made), then unfortunately you cannot go back and change the post, not even to fix spelling mistakes. That's because there's no way for the System to determine or limit the kind of edit being made, so allowing edits for spelling corrections would also allow users to completely change their post, which is what I want to avoid.
Regarding the spell checker, many (if not most) mobile phones have spell checkers nowadays, and it would be tough to do a spell checker on our end that would work on all phones.
All that said, nobody should be harassing or bullying you for your spelling or grammar as that is disrespectful and against our rules. Next time it happens, report the offending post and I'll take care of it.
