Screamo is a subgenre of hardcore punk that predominantly evolved from emo, among other genres, in the early 1990s. Thursday, Alexisonfire, Poison the Well, and The Used are screamo. Yes BFMV do sing about emotional topics but I wouldn't put them in that genre for that. If anything they would be metalcore. Even though I don't care for everyone trying to put metal in sub-genres. Metal is Metal, don't f**k with it.
