@Andres: I tried to verify my number, I did not see a code. I logged out then logged back in, the code appeared.

@Andres: Yesterday I verified my phone and had the icon showing on my profile. A few moments ago I was going to reply to a message in my inbox but received a message saying I can not message the user because my phone is not verified. I tried to verify my number again, it shows that I already am verified but now there is no icon on my profile. Why am I no longer verified?

Alright folks, for all of you who were NOT seeing a code in the Confirm Phone page, I've figured out why that is. It's because your phone does not accept Cookies, and the forum link I provided is a direct link to the page and will thus only work on mobile phones that accept cookies because there is no session ID in the URL of the link. That means you were actually seeing that page as a logged-off user, which is why the code was not displaying for you. To make this clearer, I have now blocked access to that page for logged-off users.

So for those of you who were not seeing your code (or are now getting a logged-off error), just go to your My Account page on the Home screen and click the Confirm Phone link at the top.

Please try now.

@Andres: I just tried it again. Still shows that I am verified but my profile does not show the icon and I still can not reply to the message in my inbox. I looked at my Account, it shows that I am verified as well.

You definitely have the icon on your profile when others view it, or are you referring to when you view your own profile under the "My Profile" link on the Home screen? OK, I see that it was missing from there, and I just fixed it.

With regards to not being able to reply to the message in your Inbox, try logging off and back on. The change I made required that you log off and back on since my last post in order for it to take effect.

@Andres: yes I'm certain that I sent it cause u was charged both the times and yes I can send international sms, I do communicate with my other friends and relatives in Canada, US & UK.. But don't know what's going on..

Then it might be our provider that can't receive SMS from India. It's strange, though, because we have received SMS messages from users in the UK, Spain, and Kenya, for example, so I know we can receive International SMS, but maybe not from India. Since you are our first Indian user to try it out, we're going to have to wait until more Indians try to confirm their number before we can figure out what's going on.
