I'm fairly new to the site, and am curious as to how the verification process works. Do I have to be verified each time I upload a new picture? Since uploading my new picture, I nolonger have a true pic icon.

yes u don't need to send in a new verification pic....it uses ur old one, should take less then 24 hours

@eyesdontlie:yes!,if your uploaded pics are different. B'coz me i dont experience that since i only uploaded my self pics.ex: if you upload a pic of a place,they will verify it again,so I suggest dont upload a pic that is not you,so no need to verify again
