or
no, im not mad.
the only reason it would be no, im mad is if a question like "are you happy" were asked.

@PaulG7719: youre wrong... The answer is yes i am mad... No, im not mad is incorrect because of the simple fact that you used a double negative in a sentence... So the answer is Yes I Am Mad.... Sorry to correct you but im an english major

@lilmama87: thank you for the correction. however, if the question, "are you mad?", is asked..... then, "no, im not mad", would be the response, would it not? im not arguing your point, im just pointing it out.
