Ive been with this guy for 9 yrs. Married to him for 5 yrs. Just last yr found out he has been cheating. He was on date sites saying he was single. That really hurt me bad cause b4 I found out I thought things were going really good. So here I am where I never thought I would be. On a date site looking to find someone who knows how to treat someone. Who knows how to make a relationship last. Why do people cheat on people that they claim to love? Why do people who make a vow of marriage break it? I just dont understand how someone could do that!

@james33: Yeah I know but why marry someone you dont plan on spending the rest of your life with? Why hurt someone like that? Why not be honest with the one your with and say you want out b4 you cheat?

They cheat for many reasons. Sometimes it's the thrill of the affair. Sometimes it's for personal affirmation. Maybe they just don't feel they're getting what they need at home. Cheating seems like an easy exit at first. It happens a lot unfortunately. Communication and trust are essential. As for the vows? Some people just don't view them as anything concrete. Just words spoken in a ceremony out of an emotional high. That's why you can't marry someone unless you're 110 % ready to make that commitment

@Dslaney92: Well I am a very affectionate person so I dont think it was that. To be honest I couldnt keep my hands off him. I loved him with all my heart. As for communicating we had that too. So my guess is he probably did it for the thrill. I just hate that he distroyed our marriage my trust and my love for him. I just wonder if he thinks about what he has done and if it even bothers him knowing he lost alot.

Not to sound like an a$$ but do u think maybe he felt suffocated? And yes, I'm sure he thinks about it and had his regrets. But if you truly loved him you'll hope he's happy now. Just don't worry about him anymore. His problems are his and his alone. You no longer have to bare his cross with him

Whoah.... That's terrible. You guys were together a while too smh People seem to marry for a lot of different reasons. Whether the reasons make sense or not. And, they just dont know how to give up on things even when they marry. They still expect to do whatever they want whenever they want. I agree, if both people decide to marry for whatever reason, they're married and should make an ongoing effort to leave their single lives behind.
