i dont know what anyone else thinks but being in a abusive relationship not only effects you but can cause problems at home with family and school, the hardest part is getting out of it. everyone says just leave them but unless you been through it and experienced the controll they can have over you its hard to leave even when you dont have the feelings you used to. can anyone relate in a way..

@leesh: hi i cant relate personally, but my mum and one of my sisters was in an abusive relationship so seeing what i saw made me make my first life promise to never be like that with my girlfriend so it did affect me both positive and negatively. good luck :D

Ive been in abusive relationships off and onn throughout my life....my last ex beat me up pretty severely....u come to a point where u have to say enough is enough and move on...no its not easy by any means!!....and yes it definitely leaves all kinds of scars emotionally physiclly mentally.....most become very overly cautious distrusting nervous about letting their guards and barriers down again...it just takes alot of time and the right person to work through it with you!! ;-)

@leesh: Yes......and more power to ya if you got out .....if you find yourself looking for a reason to stay with a person, that itself is enough reson to leave the person! Good Luck to you....leesh life always offers you a second chance...Its called 2morrow! :)

Totally can relate. I just got out of a terrible 6 year endeavor and struggle with it daily. I know I'm happier without him.
