I am in no way an advocate for gun control, I own several and am a member of the nra. Yet lately I have begun to wonder what can be done abt the sheer volume of violent crimes commited at gunpoint. After my incident where the lady attacked me and I beat her up I cldn't help but think if I had my open carry permit I clda shot her and been in my rights, I was that scared. But then the poor crazy woman wld be dead instead of alive and I wlda had to deal with that. And last night my brothers home was invaded by three gunmen and they tied up my dads caretaker and forced my 10 yo nephew into the bathroom and threatened to kill him if he came out...he has several loaded firearms in his home and it didn't do them any good, and in fact may have harmed my nephew if he had actually got to the gun he tried for....my mind is scattered with so many thoughts about guns right now

I don't think it's a matter of should we all not be allowed to own guns, it's how we keep guns from falling into the hands of nutjobs!

I was really bothered by this thread. First at all the negativity. Blaming entertainment... WHAT!?!?! This is idiotic. I listen to Metal music and I know many who do and its the angeriest music there is, but I dont know a single person & have never heard of a single person who shot someone because of Lamb Of God. (Same with Movies) people speak of how its the generation, well its got to be right? Because 30 years ago this wasnt happening.. well couldnt we blame the generation from 30 years ago for not raising this generation better? Sure we could but why? Blaming guns!?!? Seriously!?!? Because last I checked kids who grow up w/ guns in the house are taught correctly about guns.

People attacking Nicole for saying "its over" maybe how she deals with it is by NOT talking about it. And people w/ or w/o kids all handle this differently just because a person has kids dont make it different for people who do. I feel horrible for whats happened. And I am sorry for the families who have to deal with such a sad thing. Oh and also, the guy had an arguement with 4 school workers the day before not his mother (who was only a sub) either way instead of trying to disect this. Just say your prayers and hold the children close to you

@April666: that guy that went on that shooting rampage yesterday was brought up in a house with guns in fact he used his mothers guns to kill all them kids with . But yeah i guess your right and he was taught to use them correctly cuz he obviously has a good aim and he probably hardly even wasted a bullet :( . Sure what purpose do guns serve if not for killing things with ?
