Newton, CT: Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting... 26 dead including 18 children... a whole classroom of kinder students... thoughts, prayers, condolences are with you. It is unthinkable how anyone can commit such a horrific act. Simply devastating, and my heart breaks for everyone affected. :(

what sort of coward uses a gun against children? Or for that matter hurts kids at all?

im a corrections officer at a prison. i deal with these types of monsters every day. and i can tell you now, if you don't believe in the death penalty, you should read the records on these guys. people of this nature are sick. and there is no rehab or reintegrating them into society as they claim. they will always be sick.

Oh this is kids now. This guy is just sick. This crap should not happen. Just think of the pain. This is the worst one this year.

he took his own life. coward. he couldn't even face his judgement here. but i take great pleasure in knowing he will face his final judgement and it will be worse than anything we could have handed out here on earth.

@ashley8626: america should be looking at tightening their crazy gun laws instead of giving out more death sentences . I mean some of the weapons that you can legally own over there are ridiculous and they serve no purpose other than killing people . Its very sad that school shooting and all but its just one in a long line of mass killings over there and unfortuneatly there will just be more shootings until people wise up to the fact that most guns have no place in society . Look at my country for instance there has never been a mass killing like that school shooting and thats not because there is no madmen running around cuz believe me there is . Its because there is very strict gun laws and guns especially automatic guns are very hard to come by . And as for the death penalty thats all well and good giving it to some one in retrospect after the deed is done but thats not gonna bring anyones loved ones back or stop another whacko from going on another killing spree

What we need is for everyone to carry a gun. If they did, then we could fight back instantly instead of waiting for the cops. The average response time for cops in the US is 6min. The average response time from a citizen carrying a gun is 5 seconds. That's a LOT of time to do a LOT of damage. But bad guys will always find a way to get a gun. And if we don't have guns then they have all the power.
