After posting to proudmother's thread, I started thinking about a real life situation happening with one of my sister's friends. The young lady has three children. She and the children's father is not together nor have they ever been married to each other. All of the children are from the father though and he loves his kids. Well, the friend met a guy at a shelter. Moved him in, in about a week or two. Been together for about two months. And, went to the courthouse and got married today while the kids were at school lol I like the simplicity of a small courthouse wedding, but golly gee batman lmao

lol CG, yes, that pretty much was our sentiment. My sister text her to see if she was going to choir rehearsal tonight and she's like, um.... We're on our way to the courthouse to get married. My sister was blown away. Later this evening, I was forwarded the wedding photos to my phone. wowww. Marriage is a major thing to me. I want this one day more than anything in the world. Kids or no kids, I do want to be a Mrs so and so. But, pfffft lol It's not that serious.

Yes, I agree Aldo. That's way too much and then to do it while the kids are at school?? Most people would want the kids to be involved if it is a good situation. She and the guy seems happy though, so.... If I had kids, I couldn't have just left them out of something that important and close to them.

i guess.. I won't get married in two months only.. For me, its still a stage of gettin' to know each other more deeply, knowing the flaws , bad side and good side before getting to such serious thing like getting married..

@JustMeAndYou77: Mentioning having kids, what the fk was she thinking moving in a complete stranger in such short time.Obviously if she rushed in to things that quikly she didnt do a credit check, background check, criminal history report,go to marriage counseling.I have kids and no way in fkn hell would i endanger my kids like that.If someone wants to be in my life, well they got to reach the bar and i set it pretty fkn high, not just for my kids health and well being, but for mine also.
