'97 sunfire gtx edition bought it 5 years ago and still got it. Has 293 hp and will do 0-60 in abt 3.6 seconds. Will 1/4 mile in 7.2 seconds. Looks like sh*t but i like surprising ppl at the track. Her name is onyx.
I see that this user has since been deleted, just wanted to point out what a load of crap that is. For one, there was never a GTX version of a sunfire. 293hp huh? OEM? I think not. There was only 2 different engines available in that body style. The 2.2 4cyl & the 2.4 4cyl. Neither one had anywhere near that kinda power. The 2.4 only came in the GTs & it had about 150hp at the crank. There's only one way to get that kind of power out of a 3rd Gen J-body (cavalier/sunfire) and that's forced induction by way of either a decently sized turbo, built head, supporting mods...or supercharger & nitrous. And a 7.2 1/4 huh? With only 293hp? Ha! Impossible! We're just now breaking into the 10s with these cars & that's with well over 500hp. Yes 500 at the wheels in a cavalier/sunfire. I've been apart of the j-body community ever since I started driving.
My first car was a 96 cavalier. I was 16 & didn't know anything back then so she was slow. But she was loud & I kept her clean. Til I blew the tranny being a dummy. 30 roll in reverse & slamming into drive = bad idea. Haha.

My first and last car was a 92 240sx right hand drive swapped spoon motor. worked on it from 14 years old and finished when turned 18....and of course let my cracka ass brother drive it......i get it back on a wrecker without a rearend.
Sorry for double posting, but I have a real problem with people trying to lie about things. Spoon never made an engine for a Nissan. Ever. Spoon is a Honda tuning company. They do make crate motors, but mostly for fwd Hondas. Not rwd Nissans. Just wanted to clarify.
