I dont think people fully understand the difference with **** buddies its friends ****ing friends with an open relationship you are in a relationship with your gf but can engage other partner with the consent of your partner but you are STILL IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THAT PERSON
Hi polarbear, yes I understand the difference and whether we'd like to admit it or not, in today's times it's a very common form of relationship. I dont think every open relationship is about just screwing other people because usually the people who want it dont cheat lol Funny, but it's true. A lot of the times, I think people prefer this type of relationship out of fear and insecurity. Otherwise, they'd make a fuller commitment that ties them together. An open relationship offers a security blanket to the people involved. When you leave yourself somewhat detached emotionally and things dont work out, the idea is it will be easier to move on taking a lot less emotionalbaggage. It was "open" anyway.

I believe if people want to have an open relationship with their partner, they are with the wrong person then.

Open relationship are for those who don't have satisfaction , contentment and genuine love with ONE partner .

Usually , those who are engage in an open relationship are persons with self - esteem problems and with " narcissistic " behavior ...

We cant tell you what you should do with this polarbear. We dont know why you personally would prefer this for yourself or why you wouldnt. This is a very complex situation that everyone would view differently. And, to be honest, no one is going to say yes they'd have an open relationship with their partners lol All we can do really is give you our ideas on the matter and then maybe it will give you various ideas to consider in regards to your personal situation.
