The walking dead in cheerful stride
Her eyes reflect a humble pride.
With subtle laughter in her gaze
And youthful temper shut inside.
She lies awake with thoughts that plague
She can't dismiss her building rage
Circumstances she can't change,
The words define her iron cage.
Acceptance comes in loud deluge
When one must wake to see the truth
And crashing down behind her eyes
The fearsome hell of fault's reproof.
