I wud def want a test done before engaging in a sexual relationship with sum1. In order for both parties to feel secure, this most def shud be done together. If u no where uve been and hv nothing to hide, its not a big deal. For those not willing to go with me and be tested with me the same day and time....i got a curb u can go stand on!
lmfao, I know that's right and I totally agree!

Ok, this is for anyone that perhaps this may be wayyy over ur head: Its basically for both partners peace of mind, and following up on these types of tests is only to ensure that both are still disease free, and that if for some reason u may hv tested neg b4....u suddenly test pos, then this is beneficial to u and ur partner, cuz ur def gona need meds. So get over it and take the dang tests...geez! Its ur health at risk here pepl!!!

About the every month testing together...absolutely wud do that too, cuz jus bcuz neither of u testd pos b4, duznt mean u gona test neg next month...so thats a no brainer really!
yes, absolutely. I think it should be this way also because you and briteeyes were right about timeframes. I meet him today, we get tested and nothing shows because it takes a month or several months to get an accurate result. The only thing is does getting these follow up tests put the relationship under scrutiny?

In my opinion, not at all. If anything, the other way around. I mean, i would rather go thru a series of tests and no whether we are both disease free or not....than to wake up each day wondering and not knowing. I guess it jus depends on the couple and jus wat they are both willing to go thru. If the love is there and the bond is strong, i wud say the relationship cud withstand it. I love this thread btw, great one!

@yourladyoflove: Thank you! I know it's not something easy discussing, almost like sex ed in school lol But, you're right. Avoiding these issues are not going to make them just go away or disappear. We want to trust each other in our relationships so we also should start somewhere in building it.
