Curious as to everyones opinion. Is it right or wrong to hook up with someone with whom you care for but isn't "the one", as you continue yor search for everlasting love? Both people enjoy each others company but realize they want different outcomes for their long term goals

I think it's only "wrong" if you feel like it's wrong, if you feel dirty or used afterwards. If both people are completely aware that it will go no further than benefits, it's mutual and just a carnal satiation, but if feelings get entangled, that's where the problems begin.

if both parties are clear on their feelings then its fine. also clear on the boundaries that will exist once u find another.

I have nothing against that kind of relationship, as I have had a few over the years, but it is hard to make them work out well for long periods. Most often, one of the couple developes stronger feelings than the other, which usually leads to the downfall of the arrangement.

I have to agree with Hawkeye on this one. Someone almost always catches feelings and it just complicates things. Any kind of long term FWB set up usually ends badly.
