Who All Celebrates All Hallow's Eve? (by MissNicole2)
@WickedSugar: Yes Samhain is another name. :) I am wiccan. But many know of that name. So I chose a less used. I try to keep it remembered.
@MissNicole2: it's okay... I am to old to go out trick-or-treating, but I don't have kids to take out, so really my only option (since I am not a party going type) is staying in and handing out candy.
I remember reading somewhere it was the irish who invented halloween and I thought all hollows eve was the evening and night before halloween like new years eve and new years day
@mrb89: One is never too old for any thing besides bottles and breast feeding. It is good to have fun. Just not stupid fun. :) it is healthy. That is why I do it. I get told I'm too serious a lot.
@KingKavanaugh: Technically yes. You would be correct. But as time passed no one celebrated the night before. So now it means the evening of halloween. I wish it was how it used to be.
As a Pagan I kinda have to.. Halloween is a 10 day celebration for me though. We celebrate those who have past... this includes our pets. We have a feast in candle light on the 31st...
Halloween is definetely at least somewhat celtic then I guess
