Well damn.:/ lol But you know what I believe also? That if that man has any intentions on leaving me, a bottle of cologne, shoes or a handkerchief probably wont make much difference. I wouldnt see it as a a waste of money or effort because I bought it for the guy while in a relationship and as only a small show of my love and care. I wouldnt regret it. If I was constantly buying gifts to buy his love and he leaves then I would definitely feel like a fool no matter what it was I bought for him.

Colognes are easy but it is said people in bf/gf relationship should not gift perfumes to each other as it causes break up. Maybe I am a lil superstitious there:-)
I think this one isn't a superstitious but there are guys in HK and Philippines that feel insulted when they received a cologne as a gift ( applicable to some women also ) .. They thought they don't smell good
