Thank Constentine. He was the roman emperor that commissioned it. Not because he was a christian but because he was about to be un assed from the throne by the christian mob. It was if you can't beat them join them things. So he called together the council of Nessay (sp?) and they decided what to leave in and leave out. The Dead Sea scrolls didn't make it in the movie.:) it was over 200 yrs after the death of Christ before it was written.
