@ramblinman: Hahaa. It's a worst case scenario kind of thing! It is a fear of mine, though. I get lost A LOT.

Worst place...Idk. But I can think of one WAY to get lost that would scare the crap outta me:

I'm alone on a dark, windy, country road. It's midnight and I passed the last sign of civilization 30 miles ago. I look down at my phone, "GPS signal lost." I text my friend and ask him where the hell I am. I pull over to the side of the road. I have one bar of signal left. I let my window down and stick my shaking arm up towards the night sky. "C'mon give me something!" The highbeams from my car start fading in and out. I look out of the rearview mirror. Everything's red. I never took my foot off the brake. It's so cold and I don't where the f.uck I am. A strong gust of icy wind stings my hand, right through to the bone, like a hot knife through cheese. It hits me so hard I drop my phone and hear the pieces spread across the gravel underneath the car. Maybe if I can find the battery I can at least get the phone to connect to the Bluetooth in the car. I open the door and look down and see the battery, now to find phone. I get down on my knees and feel around as far my arm will reach. The gravel digs into my knees. Nothing. I stand up, dust myself off and walk to the front of the car, using the dimming light to guide me. About 10 feet in front of the car I spot the cell phone. I rush over and pick it up, knock out some of the gravel pieces from the battery compartment and try to put the battery in, but my hands are shaking too violently. I need to get back inside the car where it's warmer. I turn around and hear the crunch of footsteps approaching in the distance. The headlights completely dim to black-nothingness. I use my muscle memory to make it back to the car. The footsteps are approaching faster. I get inside the car and slam the door. My heart is stampeding in my chest. I turn the key forward and and hear a click. I'm crying, the saltiness warms my face only momentarily. I can't see. I can't get the window up. The footsteps slow down, but the sound gets louder. He's close to the car. I try the key one last time. Nothing.

His rapid hot breath burns my left cheek. I'm paralyzed.
this is awesome, if you are releasing a book I want a signed copy :)
