Lol yeah when I first started I thought the same thing, then many said looking for friends of both sexes but I was more interested in verifying both, which can only verify girls seeking mf also. But if a guy says mf I expect he's bi. I just changed mine back to mf when the activity feed came to the site. I get hit on by girls occasionally, but its not to bad. If a guy ask I tell him I'm straight as an arrow.
