Social Skills Are Dying.... (by eyesdontlie)
I can understand shy, but this was just socially awkward and he lacked the ability to communicate if it wasn't on the phone or computer. It isn't just isolated to that guy. People, in general, avoid normal interaction. 95% of the time, when I'm offered a number, or asked for mine, it's followed up by a "let's text". Major turn off. Texting is for brief chatting. It shouldn't be the basis of communication or getting to know period.
I dont talk on phone much....but i have social anxiety and panic attacks. I do fine once im on the phone usually, but even calling the doctor to make an appointment freaks me out. But some guys have me on the phone in no time....it just depends on the connection with that person
well im more than a texter than talker myself but thats cause i usually can afford texting time for my phone
Another thing to consider is that you can speak a days worth of texts just in a fairly short phone call so you run out of things to talk about alot quicker so maybe that was wrong with that guy you are talking about
i start talking to ppl then after a few talks they stop talking to me. I have disables. So talking on the phone makes me nervous.
