Whether or not i believe they can truly love is seriously debateable to me........because i dont believe he truly loved me........if he did he woulda kept his fists to himself!!

@Shellbelle: I believe your bf is a sociopath too. Some are violent some like mine just tear u down mentally and emotionally. He didnt a chance to be physically violent with me though he did try but I almost threw him out a 5th floor window and other stuff. He knew not to raise his hands to me

I just wish to bring these people out in the light so we can be aware. And also they are not only men...I truly believe my own mother is a sociopath. So I believe its both genders and there are different degrees of sociopaths but all with the same characteristics of not being able to connect to or bond or love on a deep level

i was with one for three yrs and he always told me tht i didnt love but in reality i did very much so but he was and still is uncapable of loving anyone or anything he doesnt kno how or the meaning of love

Wow your own mom that's pretty deep, and having to live your life around this kind of situation must have been very difficult not only on you but the whole family as well. AnyWay do like your profile states . If someone messes with you they will be squashed like a bug, your ex is very lucky cause the fifth floor is still high and once you hit that ground BAM BUG CITY. Sounds like he was just a psycotic.Everybody is born with the ability to love.but you take a true sociapath,they still have feelings but they prefer the minimum amount of interaction with others.so over time yes they can have love and what "normal" people do with others.but it just matters on each individual case,how bad it gets.basically sociopath means antisocial,and with the newest generation growing up with facebook and their online "friends".just producing more sociopaths with no true inkling of real interaction with others.its all part of the born to thrive theory.a suggestion,just dont get psycopath and sociopath confused.and dont look up a definition of a word on wikipedia.and there are lots of people male or female that can speak sweet words and interact with others,sounds like you had a narcisist with psycotic tendencies.
