I think that some people accept levels of rejection, whether mild or severe, more smoothly than others. It depends on how one person feels the relationship is going. Some girls build attachments faster and I can understand why a guy would feel bad having to break the news to her, even when he knew it wouldn't work out. No one wants to say "I don't wanna talk to you anymore" because there will likely be unpleasant follow up questions and accusations, etc. //Just my opinion ;;^^
