Finally got the new meter loop installed, the power company had to replace the main wire from the pole to the meter loop as well. We started working on it about noon time & got done around 4:30pm but got everything hooked up & working, I sure am glad too.

Thunderstorms moved into my area about 2am this morning causing the power to shut off till just a few minutes ago. It has finally stopped raining but the wind seems to be blowing close to 50 mph, which I hope it dies down soon cause it's shaking the windows in the house.

I just got back from a nearby small country store but on the way back home the State Police had set up a road block about 2 miles from my house. The officer told me the wind had blown down some power lines a few miles away & that the hiway is closed till the power company repairs the lines, so I told him where I live & he let me go through. The officer told me that the wind is gusting up to almost to 60 mph.

It's cold here this morning, in fact it's below freezing. Yesterday afternoon there was a tornado about an hour drive from me, they say nobody was hurt but it did destroy one home. I would think the way the wind was blowing so hard there will be more tornadoes reported to have touched down.

I just seen a video of the town hit by the tornado, alot of damage occured there. And I don't see how they claim only one home was destroyed, from what I seen of the damage there were lots of buildings flat on the ground, so maybe I missed understood them. I know they are now reporting at least one person was hurt. The power companies are reported there are over 15 thousand homes without power this morning mostly because of the wind damage.

I can not believe it's a warm 50 degrees this morning but the weather report is predicting we may have some snow fall by Christmas but not very much in my area. Guess it may be a white Christmas after all...

I had to go shoot some geese off 3 of the wheat fields this morning. The biggest of the 3 fields must of had at least a thousand geese on it & I reloaded my 22 rifle 3 times over all because the geese will circle back around until they realize I'm not going to let them land there again.

Just got back from shooting at some geese on one of the wheat fields. Going to need to buy more bullets today.

Merry Christmas to one & all. Thunderstorms are moving into my area right now. I think it's too warm for it to snow here like the weather forecast was saying.

It has began sleeting & the wind is gusting up to 30 mph with the temp @ 35 degrees but no snow as of yet.
