Well I keep my receipt with the owner's manual because not only does it show me what date I bought the item but also how much I paid for it, just in case I need that info 25 yrs from today...

So you keep all the receipts of the items you had bought 25 years ago?

So what is the most expensive items you did bought many years ago that you still had the receipts ? That is interesting to know because not a lot of people ( including myself ) are good in keeping receipts ..

My washing machine is in good shape as if it's only a year old. Item prices usually do raise in cost, such as when I shopped around for new dryer over a $100 difference from 10 yrs ago of the older dryer.

Wow ! Are you using your washing machine? I can't imagine a washing machine can last for 20 years ? Or that washing machine is from mars? Hehe
