@Ram318: Thanks for reading & commenting on my blog. Yes back in the early 1900's was alot different than it is now. My parents grew up on the those era of farms here in Arkansas. My Dad was born in 1916 & my Mom in 1920. My Dad plowed fields using a team of mules, they couldn't afford a tractor. My parents lived through the Great Depression, they had to learn how to live with nearly nothing. Back when my Dad was a kid, even if the Farmers had tractors they couldn't afford the price of fuel to use them in the fields the way tractors are used now, so mostly everybody used the mules in the fields.

04/05/12 @ 06:30am Good Morning one & all. Guess what?? All of the Rice Fields have been planted!!!! Wow that was fast wasn't it? It doesn't take long when the grain drill is 30ft wide & can drive about 12 mph plus only has to travel over a field one. Me on the other hand, I go over each field at least twice, my equipment is about 12ft wide & my speed is 5 mph. Yes I said 5 mph so I am slowly going nowhere fast. Hope everybody has a Great Weekend
