In reality, you're really insulting more than that guy and you will more than likely get a response from the other side. It does have a lot to do with respect and also common sense. Keep in mind the general responses you may have stated if he happened not to be black. You probably would have called him everything under the sun but you wouldn't have mentioned anything about ghetto or his ethnicity.

Im a yankabilly and didnt take offense to any of these things-just see that you baited an 'I am black what you gonna say' sort of debate which set off an 'Intelligent or not' and 'Childish or not' debate:) April was simply taking your 'Amvrika' comment (which I believe was a stab at southern white folk), and runnin with it:) Her comment, tho not accurate in her portrayal of ebonics, was meant to lighten up yours w its irony:) This is gettin old to me-not just this thread, but the attack on peoples characters from both sides-and at the crux of it are a select few from both sides of this issue. When will you all tire of calling each other derogatory names and lecturing each other on who is or is not racist? Sheesh...I really like the people on both sides too-two girls in particular, and gotta tell you both-this stuff is really at an impasse! Cant you just agree to disagree, and stay off each others threads if you have nothing positive to say? Jus sayin-I really enjoy you both- and its sad to see all the negativity when its obvious you cannot come to a truce:(
